These 90-minute Zoom work parties will include two 30-minute work periods along with time to chat and support each other. Participants should come with something specific in mind that can be reasonably accomplished in an hour. Check the Village Calendar for dates.

Patio Picnics:As we enter summer and have the opportunity to spend more time outside, would you enjoy a patio picnic (lunch or dinner) with another Village member?

To host a picnic you need to have space to accommodate one or two other people at a minimum of 6 feet apart. Each member will provide their own dishes, utensils, napkins, food and beverage.

Any village member can participate as long as you have a space to host or can travel to another member's home or a park if you want to picnic there. To join in the summer outdoor fun call the office (503-895-2750) or Julie Granger (971-266-7670) and give the following information.

1. Whether you can host or not.

2. Would you prefer a lunch or dinner picnic?

3. Your name and number.

You will be matched and together you can plan your picnic!

Each group shared results from discussion of three topics:

  • Activities that sound interesting/fun to try

  • Outstanding service needs

  • Additional resources that might be useful/helpful

These results are compiled and available either in our online updates, or by clicking the link below.

Summary of Virtual Village Meeting

A Special Thank You:

Throughout the last few months our Village has stayed strong and vibrant with the help of some amazing volunteers. Our volunteers have run errands to the grocery store to keep larders stocked, to the pharmacy to pick up vital medications and even ran packages to the post office. We’ve seen volunteers complete yard parties in the spring, hang outdoor sunshades in those first days of summer, call every single member and go on many walks in the neighborhood. Thank You! Thank you from everyone in the office, and from the members! This Village is Volunteer Powered! We couldn’t do it without you!

COVID19 and Face Mask Update:

As cases of the virus are on the rise Oregon’s requirements are changing. As of today’s 11:00 am press conference Governor Kate Brown has changed the face mask requirements for Oregonians. Starting July 15th, in addition to indoor public spaces, face masks are required outdoors when you cannot maintain a 6 foot or larger social distance.
