General

Services:Essential services are our top priority! If you or someone in the Village whom you know needs a ride to a medical appointment, is in need of groceries or picking up a prescription at the pharmacy, please call or email the office. There are many service volunteers ready and willing to help out.

Face Masks:Are you in need of a face mask? Mightyou bewilling and able to make masks for others in our Village?

If you fall into either of these categories, please contact margaretnepdxvillage@gmail.com

Special Thanks to Susan Terry, Margaret Baldwin & Holly Williams for creating masks for our Village community.Together these mask makers have delivered 10 masks to Villagers and they are still churning them out. Masks are easy to wash by hand with soap and water, and dry in the sun.

Grocery Shopping:Many of our neighborhood stores and restaurants are making shopping easier for seniors. With long delays in grocery delivery times and social distancing limits on shoppers, it can feel difficult to find a time to go or even find what you are searching for. Below is a helpful short list of places serving us in new and better ways.

Do you know of other shops or stores that have adapted to the times in a meaningful manner? Let us know by emailing info@nevillagepdx.org

New Seasons Market:Each New Seasons location has dedicated the first hour of each day to serving seniors ONLY. They have strict social distancing guidelines and sanitize frequently-used surfaces regularly.

Beaumont Market & Everest Market:Fellow Villagers have reported that these smaller local markets remain well stocked for NE patrons. Beaumont Market is located near 41st& NE Fremont, Everest is down the street near 42nd& NE Beech.

Providore Fine Foods:This NE store has strict rules including that all shoppers must wear masks, and they are limiting store capacity to allow ample space for everyone to shop. In addition to their safety measures they now offer pickup and delivery. Located near 23rdand NE Sandy Blvd.

Grand Central Bakery:Have you been searching for flour or yeast!? Running low on coffee beans? Grand Central is now selling theirs alongside many other tasty treats. From their site,“Order online and we’ll build a box of your favorite pastries and safely prepare and pack up your sandwiches! Schedule your pick up 9:30 – 2:30 pm Tues-Sun at our convenient walk-up windows. Due to a high volume of calls, phone orders are discouraged.”Located near 44th& NE Fremont.
