About this event
Therese Verboort was born in Coos Bay, OR, and raised in Bandon. She and her husband raised six children. After retiring from the Hillsboro Library, she started writing "The Communing Tree," winner of the 2019 Literary WILLA Award. A sequel to the book will be published soon. She recently published an article in the online Oregon Coast Magazine about her experiences working in a Coos County Forestry lookout. Therese currently lives in Hillsboro.
