FAMILIAR is an online workshop for older adults to learn how nutritional needs change with age – and about the different foods which can support your healthy aging plan. FAMILIAR is a six-week, 90-minute class: with time reserved for discussion, lecture/demonstration and Q & A. We’ll spotlight a different health topic each week – the gut microbiome, inflammation, muscle & bone strength, brain health, blood sugar basics and more – and describe the types of foods and nutrients that can help these bodily systems function more optimally. Participants are asked to commit to attend all six sessions as concepts are cumulative and discussion will be based on the previous week’s take-home “assignment”.

If there are enough people interested, we plan to run the following dates & times: Tuesday series from 1:00 - 2:30 PM, starting on Feb 23 a Wednesday series from 10:00-11:30 AM, starting Feb 24 and a Thursday Series from 10:00-11:30 AM, starting Feb 25 based on interest
