About this event

When is it time to consider living arrangements for older adults that include assistance with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene and transportation? This presentation will provide you with a framework for when to consider supportive housing options; an overview of the types of living arrangements available; and checklists for what to consider when selecting the kinds of supportive housing that work best for you.

Presenter: Robynn M. Pease’s began her professional career as a long-term care ombudsman and Aging Services Program Administrator for the Lexington-Fayette Urban-County Government in Lexington, Kentucky. In these roles, she advocated for the care of residents in long-term care facilities and developed city-wide programs to support older adults who were aging in place. Upon her relocation to Corvallis, Robynn served as the Vice Chair of the Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments Senior Services Advisory Council, member of the Corvallis Caring Place Assistant Living advisory board; member of the Lumina Hospice and Palliative Care board of directors; and co-founder of Eldercare Connections, a caregiver support group for employees at Oregon State University. Robynn earned her Ph.D. in Sociology with an emphasis in Gerontology from the University of Kentucky. She is currently employed as an organizational ombudsman at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC.
