About this event
In support of our Emergency Preparedness Campaign, Village member Ron Pape will kick off our new Lunch and Learn series with a presentation about fires and explosions. He will discuss basic concepts about fires and explosions and give examples of investigations of accidental fire and explosion incidents.
Ron is a retired chemical engineer. His early career was conducting research on fires, explosions and dispersion of gaseous and particulate fuels for IIT Research Institute in Chicago. In 2000, he moved to a forensic engineering company where he conducted investigations of accidental fires, explosions and gas
dispersions.
Members are invited to bring a lunch or to simply listen. Wheelchair accessible. Please use the entrance ramp located near the raised garden beds on NE 58th Ave.
