About this event
NEV volunteers Abe Cohen and Nora Stern will lead this mushroom foraging trip near Welches, OR. Attendees will be looking to find Chanterelles, Lobster mushrooms, and Boletes.
Registrants must be able to walk off-trail on rugged terrain, and have proper hiking and rain gear.
Nora Stern is a physical therapist and lifelong outdoor enthusiast. She is quite knowledgeable in identifying mushrooms. Abe Cohen is a retired chiropractor, and enjoys camping and foraging. He particularly appreciates the difference between hiking and foraging where attention is directed to the immediate surrounding.
This event is presented by Foodways, a collaboration between NE Village, Villages NW and Che Figata!
