About this event

Time to get out your favorite holiday baking recipes as we head into the Winter holiday season. Please bring a baked good to share that held (or holds!) special meaning in your holiday celebration. Attendees are also encouraged to bring copies of the recipe since it is likely that others will want to add your recipe to their collection of favorite holiday treats! We will also gather to share stories about our baked goods (think – “I used to help my grandmother bake this every year when I was a child…”) while enjoying the variety of flavors and baking techniques that are part of holiday celebrations around the globe.

This community gathering will both celebrate the season and mark the start of "Celebrating Community Culture through Food, a yearlong initiative that brings people together to celebrate food, build community, offer skill building (e.g. cooking skills) and that encourages multicultural, intergenerational participation. The program was conceived by a small group of Village and non-Village food enthusiasts and is thematically organized by seasons, starting this Winter with a focus on Grains. Each season will include a variety of in-person/virtual activities and presentations.
