About this event
This presentation will address how to prepare food for an emergency. Whether circumstances require evacuation or sheltering in place, planning ahead will make all the difference. And, regardless of the size of your dwelling or your pocketbook, there are many things that you can do to improve your resilience when the unexpected happens.
Presented by John Legler who is a NET/CERT Basic Training Instructor, specializing in Urban Search & Rescue, Extrication, CPR/AED & First Aid. As a resident of an eco-village in Southeast Portland for over 8 years, he has blended his emergency planning with sustainable living and urban food production. He is also an Emergency Amateur Radio Operator (KJ7DMD), and a 10-year survivor of Sudden Cardiac Arrest, having been saved by CPR from strangers while biking along the Mississippi River.
