About this event

Please join us on November 2 to hear an update by Lory Hefele, a volunteer appointee to Portland's Government Transition Advisory Committee that is tasked with overseeing and advising Portland's historic government transition.

Portland voted to change it is election system and its form of government in November 2022. Change is underway. Four new geographic districts have been established already. These districts will elect 3 City Commissioners each in November 2024 by a ranked voting scheme. These 12 Commissioners will form a new City Council January 2025. We will also have a new Mayor and a professional city administrator. Currently the City Transition Team is making plans for changes to City organization and operations. This is an opportunity to ask how these changes might affect you and your neighborhood and to give your feedback to the Team.
