NEIGHBORHOOD BIKE RIDE – Members and Volunteers Only

This ride starts and ends at McMenamin’s Kennedy School and includes a section of the Columbia River pathway. This is not a difficult route, but it is not a ride for beginners – riding 11 miles at a leisurely pace.

NEIGHBORHOOD WALK: 4-T Trail – open to all

This month we will take the 4 T trail (trail, tram, trolley, and train), starting at the exit from the MAX stop at the Zoo, then take a brisk uphill hike to Council Crest Park,Then we’ll, and walk to OHSU, where we’ll board the tram and glide down to the riverfront. …. read more about the rest of the trip.

An orientation for members who joined NEV from March through May 2017. The orientation is an opportunity for new members to get together to meet other members, gather information, ask questions and socialize.

POTLUCK DINNER AND MEETING – members & volunteers

Village members and volunteers are invited to attend this potluck dinner and social gathering. Join us to welcome new members, share our village successes, and meet Lewis Barrett, our new office manager. Bring a dish to share, and we’ll see you there! Plates and utensils will be provided.

Take a stroll in Peninsula Park in North Portland. Enjoy the roses in the park’s formal French garden that was the original site of the Rose Festival activities. Afterwards there is a no-host lunch at McMenamin’s Chapel Pub.
